According to information from the management board, businessman Lê Xuân Tưởng together with Thanh Hóa Football Development Joint Stock Company has taken over ownership from Dong A Thanh Hóa Football One Member Limited Liability Company, in a multi-source sponsorship effort aimed at stabilizing finances and maintaining the team's presence in the top tier of Vietnamese football. The new squad comprises 26 domestic players, four foreign players and one Vietnamese-origin player from Laos, reflecting a moderate investment strategy focused on midfield and attacking positions. The foreign players announced are midfielders Abdurakhmanov and Lovric, and strikers Matheus Monteiro Martins and Guindo, while Thongkhamsavath is a midfielder of Vietnamese-Lao origin. The coaching staff remains under Mai Xuân Hợp, but he is registered as Technical Director rather than Head Coach, a move seen as a workaround for licensing requirements set by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). Sources inside the club said Mai Xuân Hợp admitted that preparation lasted only three weeks before the opening match against Da Nang on September 6, 2026, a period shorter than the usual pre-season of six to eight weeks seen at most V-League clubs.
